World Almanac for Kids
The World Almanac for Kids is a website that allows parents, teachers and children to explore and learn about various subjects. The site provides information on topics such as language, mythology, books, geography and the environment. Children are able to independently explore the website to learn about their favorite animal while parents and teachers discover new activities to engage their children.

Global Issues
The purpose of this website is to provide access to information about global issues and how most are inter-related. There are over 550 articles on this site, mostly written by the editor. The issues discussed range from trade, poverty and globalization, to human rights, geopolitics, the environment, and much more. Spread over these articles, there are over 7,000 links to external articles, web sites, reports and analysis to help provide credence to the arguments made on this web site. This site should be used as a starting point when researching various global topics. The articles listed are the opinion of the editor, but the links listed in conjunction with the articles provide access to the facts associated with each issue.

World Mapper
Worldmapper is a collection on world maps, where territories are re-sized on each map according to the subject of interest. There are now nearly 700 maps.

History Teacher
Here you'll find the most extensive collection of lesson plans and PowerPoint presentations ready to use in your classroom. Created by a teacher from New York, Susan Pojer, this site is a favorite often recommended by teachers in our training sessions once they have visited it. This is a must see!

National Geographic
National Geographic's education website contains lesson plans, and educator network, teacher store, maps, photos and much more.

EPA
Visit the EPA site for teachers to find lesson plans, publications, programs, grants and workshops for you and your students.

Smithsonian for Educators

ERIC
The Education Resources Information Center has a wealth of resources for your classroom. It contains bibliographic records of education literature, plus a growing collection of full text. The three searchable lists are journals, non-journals and featured publications.

Global News Sources
This is a pdf file of nearly 30 news websites from around the globe. This is a great collection you can hand out to students for finding international current events.
