World-In-Transition

World in Transition (WIT) is a teacher training flagship Program of the World Affairs Councils of America, developed by the Southern Center for International Studies. With a goal to increase student’s international education and awareness, the World Affairs Council has partnered with the Cincinnati Public School system and other area schools, to bring the World in Transition program to teachers so they can prepare students for our transitioning, globally connected world. Teachers receive lesson plans, maps, video footage and CEU forms. Regions covered in the workshops include: Europe, The Middle East, Russia, Latin America, East Asia, South Asia, Africa, and the End of the Soviet Union.

* This program is made possible by a generous donation from the Martha Holden Jennings Foundation. *

“Since taking the World-In-Transition teacher training, we have been using the materials and videos practically every day in our European History and Global Perspective classes. We love the material! Other teachers have signed up for WIT training in the other regions. All of our teachers decided that we are not doing enough and need to take advantage of what is being offered."
